Description
Experience Level: Entry
I require some form of php script or similiar that will re-format a csv or xml file into a required format.
Info: We receive a CSV file (although we can change this to an xml file if easier), that contains lots of different columns and multiple records (1 record per line).
Most of the columns contain plain text which is fine, however a few of the columns contain data that is in json format.
We require some form of script that will take the csv (or xml) file, and format the json into proper columns.
An example of the json format is in 1 column is:
{"product_edition_id":"25922","product_edition_name":"64GB Gold","reseller_product_edition_id":"52140"}
We would need this changing so new columns are created called product_edition_id, product_edition_name and reseller_product_edition_id with the correct values in each for each record.
Please note there are a few columns formatted in json at present and we need to simply end up with a csv file with everything in the correct format.
I anticipate it should be a simple job for someone that understands php, json and csv/xml formatting.
Although we're suggesting php as the csv file is uploaded to our webserver regularly (and we can schedule any script with a cron), were open to other suggestions.
Example of the csv file is available if required.
