Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: Online ordering system
Description of requirements/features: We have a prototype for a web application written in CodeIgniter that we need to convert into a stable Symfony web application:
The current system is working but have a few glitches that should be fixed in the process.
Technical configuration of the current system:
- Simple CodeIgniter app (MVC respected), here are some numbers to get an idea about the size of the project :
20 Controllers (average of 100LOC per controller)
~ 30 Models
- Access to database(MySql) is not really optimized, the database is composed of 20 tables
- No template engine is used
- No unit tests are available
- Printing feature is implemented via TCPDF but there is a report that needs to be fixed (layout wise)
We are expecting that the new Symfony system will have the following characteristics:
- Keep the MVC pattern
- Access the database via an ORM
- Optimize the queries in the process
- Use Twig as template engine for the views
- Write unit tests to validate the business logic
- Include iReadThis in your proposal to be considered
- Fix the layout of the broken the PDF report (only one needs to be fixed)
The developer who will work on the project should have an experience working with :
- Git for source control
- MVC
- PHP/Symfony framework (obviously)
Please do not ask for an url or a demo, the project will be only shared with the successful candidate.
PS : This is a fixed price job, please include your price along with how much time to you need to get it done.
Looking forward for your proposals.
Specific technologies required: PHP, Symfony, Javascript, Git
Extra notes:
