We have a (very) small educational software business, are currently plagued by either the Google redirection virus or something very similar. Setup is a Windows 2008 Server and a number of other machines, running XP, Windows 7 or Vista so that we can simulate installations at our various school clients. The virus becomes intermittently active after a Google search on Mozilla, IE8 or other browser. It seems lately not so much to redirect as simply to block or stop the browser operating. We've tried Spybot etc but have not yet attempted to carry through the kind of special deletion routine recommended for this virus, and need technical hand-holding (at the least) to do it.
