Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Our plan is for you to write an application, built with AIR, to drive some
command-line tools supplied with the Flex SDK
(http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Flex+SDK). These would
make use of AIR 2\'s NativeProcess API
(http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/flex/quickstart/interacting_with_native_pro
cess.html), and provide a nice GUI front-end.
The tools we\'re thinking about can be found in the bin directory of the Flex
SDK, and you would provide the same benefit as Grant Skinner\'s wrapper
around asdoc
(http://gskinner.com/blog/archives/2010/01/asdocr_simple_a.html). In
particular, we\'re interested in swfdump, swcdepends, etc, and also a tool
which would unzip a SWC (a SWC is really just a zip) and present information
from its library XML manifest.
Initially, we\'re just targeting swfdump, but if you have the time and
inclination I think the others would be really cool, too.\"]
I need to have this ready by Saturday 3rd July 2010.
