Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
The aim of this project is to create an interactive 3D model viewer in Adobe Flash CS5.5/CS5. An application where the user will be able to interact with 3D models using controls provided.
This application must support the following functionality:
1. Ability to render/display good quality 3D models.
2. Switch between a number of different 3D models (2,3 or more).
3. Ability to rotate the model according to its Y-axis (clockwise, anticlockwise – 360 degrees).
4. Ability to Rotate the model according to its X/Z-axis (tilting between 0 and 80 degrees)
5. Ability to zoom in and zoom out from the model (minimum and maximum % is desirable).
Archive of 3D models, set of 3, which are necessary to be rendered/displayed in this application, will be provided after this project will be awarded. Each model will be available in any necessary format. Also a detailed storyboard will be provided together with this achieve, where everything is mapped out within the interface.
Please note that each model has to have a kind of round podium/stand/pedestal underneath it, therefore the model will be standing on top of it, which means that this podium/stand/pedestal has to be also a 3D object.
The approximate set of tools/software which may be used to develop this project are the following, Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5 or CS5 using Action Script 3.0 (obligatorily tool), Papervision3D - Open Source Realtime 3D Engine for Flash (likely tool), Electric Rain Swift 3D (likely tool). Other tools can be used in order to develop this project, but before starting the development process it has to be confirmed. The application’s resolution will be 1000 pixels (wide) x 600 pixels (height).
When the necessary code will be written, all the buttons, their PNG files are provided with the archive, so please use them instead of your own one. In case if any further material or explanation will be needed, it can be provided up on request.
