Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: Holley Fuel Injection Retail Store
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Num. of web pages/modules: 1
Description of every page/module: My Opencart site is http://hollyinjection.com. OC 2.0.3.1, running the Journal template.
While I overall I am very pleased with Opencart, one thing I very much dislike about my current setup is the tabbed information, ie, content in the "Description" tab displays but information in the "Specifications" and "Reviews" tabs is hidden until you click on the tab. Google has made very clear that, while they index things that are behind a tab, they do not consider the hidden information as highly for SEO purposes. I asked Journal if we could display all of the tabs at once and they gave me a CSS code snippet that allows that. It works perfectly for displaying all of the content (as you can see in the example below) but the navigation is broken.
Here is an example page: http://www.holleyinjection.com/avenger/avenger-multi-point/avenger-multi-point-efi-big-block-chevy-standard-deck-1000-cfm-oval-port-550-836
Description of requirements/features: What I would like is to find a way to make this function and look more correctly. As a minimum, if you click on "Specifications" it should take you down to the specifications information. If you click on the "Reviews" or "Write a Review" it should take you down to the reviews area.
I have played with this a bit but have not been successful and have backed out all of my changes. If we could get the basic functionality correct then I would be interested in some follow-on work. Note that it is important to me that we do this in a way that everything doesn't break the next time Journal or OC does an update or, if it does, that I can apply whatever changes. (I am quite adept at doing this so that should not be a problem as long as you document everything well.)
Specific technologies required: Opencart, php, css, html
Extra notes:
