Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: Online Rulebook Using Joomla
Kind of development: Customization of existing website / custom module/plugin/extension
Description of requirements/features: I have a new job if you are interested. I also want to investigate a separate plugin or component which, in the joomla front end, displays (but read only) the versions of the articles and the comparison of the changes
Pic 1: Versions Button (at the moment this appears when you EDIT an article from the front end, BUT I want it appearing if permissioned to the user, including public, but NOT so they can edit), you can borrow the functionality and then make it read only)
Pic 2: List of Versions (only Preview and Compare should be available and read only)
I believe that by taking the com_contenthistory component and stripping away the version restore, version editing, and version deletion functionality this can easily be achieved. This has ALL the functionality I need, it just needs to be taken separately from the existing one accessed when editing an article in the front end. Component would be accessed from within each article perhaps as an additional link further to Print and Email icons etc.
