Oh, forgot - also, the function will only work if called in a user triggered event (like a button click), it can't be called arbitrarily from anywhere in the script (well it can be called, but it would fail)

Hi, this sounds pretty straightforward and easy to do - except that it would only work on safari 10 or older, nothing before that - does it sound like what you want, or.. ?
