Hi Folks,

I have already designed how the website will look (the concept) in Adobe Illustrator and have imported jpegs into Dreamweaver. I have also created links on the images so the site can be navigated throughout using the hotspot tool. This DRAFT is for you to click around and see the project for yourselves. For the build, I will supply a breakdown of all the images you'll require (NOT the aforementioned large images), plus the text.

About the website: This is a job vacancy website (for a very localised area) where people will pay a fee to advertise for a certain length of time (time limit system required).

a. Back Side: There will be a login area where the advertiser can manage their ads (create new, draft, activate, stop/pause, re-use old ads to save time retyping everything, deleting). There are some user buttons (links) that you can replace with your own ideas, but otherwise, how it all works should be self explanatory when you visit the website. In the FTP area there are currently 13 html files. Some of the work required is repetitive on each page (banner, links etc.).

b. Front Side: For the job applicant (no fee to join), it is nothing more than an information website (search function or select by category, results lists, full view of a vacancy including contact details of the company). In the FTP area there are just 4 pages, with some of it being repetitive.

What we need:

1. To take the nuts & bolts of what I've designed in Illustrator and create a functional website using CSS, with one part requiring AJAX)...

a. The search box will require a watermark ('type in here' and then when the box is clicked into the ghost text disappears and people can start typing)

b. The search results strips ( AND etc.) I would like to have a rollover effect across the entirety of each section This is no doubt AJAX coding

c. All text links will require an underline on rollover only, plus a separate colour on rollover. Your suggestions are welcome as long as they are in-keeping with the existing colour theme

d. When viewing a full detailed vacancy page (, the Categories List (on the left of the page) will have an asterisk/marker next to it to indicate which category it is listed under. It will be selected during the creation or edit page (

e. We will not be offering an email service from our servers. The advertisers contact email address on the detailed vacancy page ( will NOT be visible. It will say 'click here to email' and then an email application will open (Mail, Outlook etc.). I would like to restrict this because an email address can be very long and it will then have to go on two or three lines making the webiste look messy

2. Take the above finished CSS/AJAX website and wire it up using PHP (I am presuming you will already have access to some open source that you could use along the way)...

a. Each vacancy will require tags being added by the advertiser during the 'job creating stage' so people can search more effectively. Having vacancies listed in a certain category is fine but allowing tags will help breakdown a search even further

b. The Checkout section ( will be linked to PayPal. I can do this or you can (please quote separately)

c. As the administrator, I will need to access the backside of the website to take care of problems so please let me have your suggestions of a very simple system (it doesn't have to look good, simple html will be fine). This will include allowing me to change the duration of an advert (each advert will run for 21 days and then automatically go into the advertisers archives page, I would obviously like to update our pricing structure, and also see a complete listing of all advertisers (search feature or definitely alphabetical) so I can click through to a more detailed page which shows their history etc. Please let me have your suggestions on this section and also a separate price because we can hold out on this initially.

d. Please note we will require a password reminder system (

e. I feel the rest is quite self explanatory but am open to suggestions.

Thanks very much in advance for your time and effort.
