Description
Experience Level: Entry
I have two applications that communicate via API call.
The first application makes a POST request to an API endpoint in the second application. Upon success, a JSON is returned.
What I want to achieve:- I want this JSON response that contains an email and password to be used to log into an application built using NodeJS/Express/Passport and Sequelize stack, However, before it logs in - it should check if the Response JSON data already exist in the DB. If it does, it should update the record with any changes otherwise, it creates a new record. After this, it should log the requester based on the given email and password.
All these should happen in one line transactions - not two clicks.
What I currently have -
1) The first Application works perfectly, sends API JSON as expected.
2) Upsert function - records are created or updated as expected
3) Simple Node JS app that logs the user in perfectly. using email/password
4) Working session management that tracks user e.t.c everything is perfect - this is extra if needed to get JSON in session.
I need an experienced NodeJS/Express developer to fix the application to ensure the API POST request auto-logins so whenever I protect a route such as /users - it should check if the current request is logged in or not.
Note: the API endpoint will not be available to public by default unless they are auto logged in via that API POST request.
This should be a very straightforward task. I just couldn't get it to work automatically...so I need the help of an experienced person to fix this.
Thanks
