Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
General information for the website: Lead Generation
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Num. of web pages/modules: 1
Description of every page/module: Hi All,
Thanks for looking.
I’m not entirely sure what skills will be needed for this but definitely API and XML Post knowledge and I suspect PHP and general web development capabilities that may include CSS.
We are generating leads online and we want to essentially integrate a number of different software packages into one.
Below is a sort of step by step guide of what we need. I am hoping you will be able to figure out how to do it. I think we will probably need some code on a standalone page (SAP) that organises everything:
• A lead is generated on our website. (We have the ability to post the form data to any URL)
• The lead is the posted to the SAP (This is the bit we need your help with)
• The SAP will probably need some sort of buffering graphic with something like ‘We are just searching for your best provider, this will only take a moment’
• The lead is then posted from the SAP into our Affiliate Portal (Aff Port)
• The Aff Port will decide who will buy the lead. You don’t need to worry about this bit as it’s already covered in the portal.
• The Aff Port then posts back to the SAP telling it which company bought the lead and also the Aff Port’s unique ID for that lead.
• The SAP then uses this information to:
o Redirect the customer to a landing page. The landing page will be decided by the SAP depending on which buyer is posted back from the Aff Port
o The SAP takes the lead, with the unique ID and the name of the buyer and posts it into our CRM system.
A few considerations:
• We have the ability to design landing pages so you will just need the SAP to redirect to a designated URL.
• Our Aff Port works on the basis of cookies, tracking links and conversion pixels so the SAP can’t break any links or cause any problems otherwise the Aff Port won’t be able to do its job. I don’t think this is likely to be an issue but worth mentioning.
• We are transferring people’s data so it is extremely important that the SAP is secure.
• We will have new websites and new buyers going live all the time so we need the SAP to be replicable across 10 different websites and ideally we would have the ability to edit the redirect URL’s.
About working together:
• Big fan of skype. It’s much easier and quicker to talk about any issues or changes than back and forth on email so you need to be happy to jump on skype calls.
• We are in London so ideally you will be able to communicate during GMT work hours.
• Ideally I would like to see examples of similar work that you may have done.
• We are currently looking for a go to developer for this sort of thing so if you do a good job here, there will definitely be ongoing work.
Timescale & Price:
• We have outsourced a fair bit of development work in the past and we have done something similar. We can provide examples of code that has been written to do a smaller proportion of what is described above. I don’t think this is going to be a massive project.
• I would ideally like to have this completed and tested on at least one website by the 4th January.
