Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Project Brief:
We are looking for someone who can support the development and ongoing maintenance of a bespoke interactive google map interface.
The map will be UK and Ireland focused and will plot multiple geographical locations as set out below (via google maps based co-ordinates).
The map is to be plotted as separate layers via excel
In addition to this, the map will have the functionality to pin-point locations and add accurate radius rings that can be altered. Instructions on how to amend the map will also be required so that minor amendments and additions can be made quickly in house.
Map Items:
All UK Universities
Prosperity will provide a list of Cities that require the information to be collated and plotted on the single Google map platform. It would also be useful to build in a heat map functionality.
• Student Accommodation developments that have a minimum 100+ beds/units
• Train Stations
• Large employers with in excess of 200 staff in one location (e.g. head offices and regional offices)
• Key points of interest:
o Large Shopping centres
o Football stadiums
o Entertainment arenas
o Historical importance
o Other locations pinpointed by google maps
Each of the above locations will contain numerous items of information such as address, postcode, coordinates, when the building was built, floors & number of apartments/beds/units.

Are you definite about it being a 'Google Map'? or would other online mapping systems be acceptable if they can provide similar (or better) funcitonality?.
I am thinking here of using ArcGIS online as a basis for producing your interactive map.
