Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: Bitcoin
Database management system (DBMS): MySQL
Kind of development: New website from scratch
Description of requirements/features: Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone can help me out here.
I would like to create a basic PHP based form. This form should allow a user to create an account, with a username (username is actually the user's email) and a password. This information is then stored into SQL (each user should be assigned a unique ID, starting from 1 or 2 - the first user).
However, during the account creation process , I would like a CoinBase™ account automatically created for that user (using CoinBase's API), using the same credentials submitted within the form (right after the user clicks "submit").
Then information from the newly created CoinBase™ should be recorded (Using GET) and stored into the SQL in association to the to user.
For example:
Information such as the receive address is collected then stored onto our table. Then the receive address is displayed or echoed from our database to the user's screen upon log in. The bitcoin balance however, is directly collected and displayed from Coinbase's API.
In other words, I do not want the user logging in to CoinBase system or form (this is only being done through the back-end).
When the user logs in, an echo of the receive address associated with the newly created account is displayed (Receive address is collected from Coinbase, Stored in our database, then echoed out from our database), followed by the bitcoin balance associated with the newly created account (this is retrieved directly from Coinabse database, or the help of other third party API's which doesn't require access to CoinBase's database)
Remember, during the registration process, the user is creating an account within our database as well as CoinBase's database, at the same time. Some information would be gathered and stored into our own database tables.
You can see that this is pretty basic and simple stuff, but I'm trying to kill time here. I will provide you the correct CoinBase API documentations along with more details on what's need to be done.
Greatly looking forwards to your proposals. Please insert the word "BitCoin" in the first line of your proposal.
Thanks!
Extra services needed: 3rd party integration
Extra notes: I did have some work done on this by another developer based in India, but it was time to integrate a function to which we can drive the API to send Bitcoins (through our app) from the newly created accounts (created with our form) to any bitcoin receive addresses.
For example:
Through the back-end, the website's admin or a queued script (based on conditional statements) sends Bitcoins from User A's account to User B's receive address...User A does not have to be online as this is a transaction being done by a script that is executed based on a condition of user A's account. User B can be any user created by any wallet, as receive addresses are universal. Remember, User A's info were stored into our Database tables earlier; during registration process.
Something happened to the developer who was working on this, and he never logged back in to PPH again. As a result, I would actually be asking for a continuation or completion, though I don't have the code/script of the working demo below.
