Description
Experience Level: Expert
The website has been built and has a few defects to fix and a few new features to add. It is a one page HTML website that looks and behaves like several pages to the user as it is divided into sections (slides). We use the skrollrJS framework to implement parallax scrolling and custom javascript to implement automatic page-swiping. As the user scrolls down (or when they use the navigation links), we automatically swipe the next slide into place. Each slide (page), has many div elements that have different z-index values to layer the animations and background images.
We have a few defects to fix with page layouts and their divs elements and z-index values.. You'll need to be good at positioning divs (absolute and relative). If that goes well, there is more work to do to fix a few css animation defects. We also have a couple defects with the jQuery plugin we use to play videos (MediaElement), and want to serve the videos from Vimeo.
If all that goes well, we'd like to configure the website to be displayed at different browser sizes for phones, tablets, small, medium and large monitor sizes. And finally, we'd like to figure out better strategies to load the images and supporting content better as we preload the images when the URL is first hit and this can take awhile on slower connections.
All the html, css and js files are well documented with well named method and variable names. I've also written some high-level design notes to help you get up to speed quickly
