Hi all,
We have a website built with Squarespace which is almost complete. The site is built using the BRINE template and has next to no added coding as yet, other than a couple of lines for fonts. However there are a number of small tweaks that we need completing to improve functionality.
I know from research that these tweaks are all possible and not too outlandish, I just don’t have the time or inclination to get code from multiple sources and figure it out myself.
If interested, could you please provide a quote & timescales for the following tweaks please:
1. Hamburger menu on mobile devices no longer clickable after configuring transparent banner.
So we wanted to edit the Brine template to make transparent banners. We used a simple enough tutorial online and added this custom CSS to achieve it.
@media only screen and (max-width: 640px) {
.Site {
margin-top: -60px;
}
}
Although it worked, it has left the hamburger menu and our logo un-clickable on mobile devices. We need this fixed. I’m sure it’s just a simple tweak to the CSS but this isn’t my strong area.
2. Icon animation.
Where we’ve installed standard images as service icons (which are also links), we want to animate those. Happy to discuss the best type of effects, but either magnifying them on hover, or inverting colours on hover is probably the preferred type.
3. Image text overlay
On one particular page (our Portfolio front page) we need the images to have an overlay with text that slides up on hover to show the name of the company, project etc etc. The user then clicks that image to go to a page dedicated to more images from that project. Note: we are only using standard images here, not stacks or anything else. So this needs to be achieved without doing it to ALL images site-wide, if this is possible?
Thank you for your time.
Kind regards,
Lee
