Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hello,
I hope that you are well. I am building a new Wordpress site, using Woocommerce, and have to aims:
- I need to upload all of my client's products
- I need to create and implement a working product filter
Uploading their products
I have been sent QuikBooks export which contains all of the client's products as a CSV file (~650) - this needs to be re-formatted for Woocommerce and modified to contain a number of additional attributes that I will need to add manually (including product tags and categories). I am using the Woo Import Export plugin for Wordpress.
The product images exist separately so I will need to add those manually later on - this is not a deliverable. I am looking to be supplied with the new format CSV so that I can do the upload. I have attached a version of the exported CSV file.
I would like to add the following to a product page in the CSV:
- safety level (350N, 600N, 800N, 1600N)
- brand (Allstar, Uhlmann)
- gender (mens, womens, boys, girls)
- size (tbc)
- weapon (foil, epee, sabre)
- type (fencing, coaching)
- category and sub-category (tbc)
- weight (g)
- name
- description
- colour
- price (£ inc. VAT)
- price (£ exc. VAT)
- VAT code
- product number
- sale price (£)
- number in stock
- sale dates
- type (simple, variable)
- related items (this may not be where to do this)
- all other standard items needed for WP WC CSV
Creating and implementing a working product filter
On the product page I want to have a product filter that works according to categories, tags and a number of the attributes on a product.
I would like to be provided with:
- a time estimate
- a cost
- what you will provide me with
Please let me know your thoughts,
Christopher

Hi Christopher,
To quote my best cost and time I need some information:
1. How many attributes per product is there?
2. In the current WooCommerce site where products needs to be uploaded the CSV product upload feature is developed or I need to built it as well?
Looking forward to your reply
Best Regards,
Dipendu
