Hi,
I'm looking for someone to do some quick work on my POWA template.
I am a new shop, just opened on Columbia Road in East London a few weeks ago. I specialise in selling designer-made homeware, art, accessories etc. It is really important that my site reflects this and doesn't look too 'computery', if that's even a word!
I've been loading my stock and pictures into my POWA/Barclaycard template (Artistic). I'm happy with the functionality and layout. The major problems are with the way it looks. I want it to look very plain and simple like, for example, www.labourandwait.co.uk (I use this as an example of simplicity, I have my own brand and I don't want a copy of their site!).
With the constrains of setting up my budget is limited : £350 - £500 depending on what you're able to do.
Please could you quote for the following which I've listed in order of importance:
1. Get rid of the shaded dark blue behind the menu bar etc. It would be nice to replace it in graded white against a brown blackground, or simple white lines
2. A nice 'kraft paper' brown background to the whole thing (attached). With the white version of the logo at the top (attached)
3. A larger font size on everything.
4. Bigger product images, ideally arranged in a grid like this rather than a random mess http://www.labourandwait.co.uk/collections/household
5. A nicer font. I have goudy for itallics and cherokee for non itallics on my business cards attached, which I like.
6. Facebook, twitter, wordpress and mailing list sign up box along the bottom
7. This is probably getting into the realm of being too expensive and time consuming, but, instead of having a category list having a grid of photos, one for each category, that you click through on, like for example at http://www.ifeelsmug.com/products (as above, just an eg of layout - I don't want to copy their site in any way!)
All thanks and best wishes.
Yours hopefully,
Claire
