Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: Directory
Database management system (DBMS): Other
Kind of development: New website from scratch
Description of requirements/features: Hi
I want to create a directory website quickly and easily.
I would like someone to scrap the information from a national website which lists the locations of service providers. There are about 6000 locations across the UK. The website to be copied has all the information you need, including address and telephone number of each location.
I am looking for someone to scrap all the information using macro or however you want to do it. Then upload it into a new website that will be a directory of these places. I like http://www.phpmydirectory.com/ so ideally you would use that and be experienced in how to use it.
I am easy to work with and technical, so this should hopefully help the process.
I am not too sure on cost to be honest. I know if you manage to get the macro working nicely to produce good data, then a bit of playing around with the csv file maybe, then easily upload it to the default theme here:
http://www.phpmydirectory.com/demo/index.php
Then in theory this could just be a few hours work. But I know things rarely go that easy with web stuff, so please don't think I don't understand that this could be harder than it sounds.
If all goes well then someone very good (£40 / hour) working for 4-5 hours should do it? So about £200.
I will obviously purchase the licence for http://www.phpmydirectory.com/
I look forward to hearing from you.
