PHP Script Web Page Specification
My business is that of helping people with life problems and I am about to self-publish 3 self-help books globally.
The website is explanatory about me, what I do and my books and other products (these next year).
There is only a single pre-launch page up at present although the site is extensively prepared in the background.
The page we are asking to be created will be a standalone page outside the website with a link or links to it on the website.
It will be hosted on our hosting service, to be agreed.
Desired outcome:
Visitors to the website currently enter their data to go on to an Aweber autoresponder series of emails.
They receive a double opt in confirmation email and have to click on the verification link.
They then receive the first email in the series which will take them to the Certificates (certs) page, or they will have clicked one of the links to the certs page on energythieves.com.
This certs page is the page to be created:
They will be told when they first entered their data (to go on the autoresponder) that they will need to enter their name and email address again to get into the certs page, however some will get direct to the certs page as explained below.
Their information should go onto a MySQL database to be installed by you on our hosting.
This database will be used for a similar project that will be offered to the successful applicant immediately after they have completed this current job to our satisfaction.
The page:
This is a page showing examples of various Certificates (certs), which currently are created in Word documents, all to be shown in a reduced, uniform size (for show, but must be readable, so not a thumbnail).
There are some 14 certs currently.
Visitors can choose the size of cert they want from two sizes (further sizes may be added in future).
5 x 7 inches
8 x10 inches
They can enter their names on to the cert and print it out.
They cannot download or alter the certs, they can only enter their name on a cert and print it out.
They can print out as many certs, entering as many different names on them as they like.
To return to the certs page to print out more they have to sign in with the data they originally entered (name/email address)
If they recommend the page to other people and send them direct to the certs page URL those people will have first to enter their data to get into the page.
So there will be a login to the certs page.
Their data will be gathered if they come direct to the certs page and did not enter their data on the website home page.
We will set the Aweber autoresponder not to accept any duplicate names and email addresses if they have already been submitted on the website home page and are submitted again to log in to the certs page.
The MySQL database should record duplicate data entries so we can see who registered on both the main website and the certs page (and who didn't).
So when someone visits the site they enter their name on the cert they want to print out.
They click on one of two sizes they want to print out.
They click on a button to print the cert.
They repeat the process for however many certs with the same or different names they want.
The MySQL database should be able to generate reports giving:
Name
Email address
Country
Type/size of certs printed so we can determine the most and least popular
The number of certs printed by a single user
The number of certs printed by a single user, but with different names on them
The number of certs emailed using the 'Send a Cert' facility
The MySQL database should record duplicate data entries so we can see who registered on both the main website and the certs page (and who didn't).
+ any other information that is easy to supply and that you feel would be helpful.
'SEND A CERTIFICATE' FACILITY
They enter someone's name on a cert.
They click an 'Email on Certificate' button.
A new email to send appears on their screen with the cert with that person's name on it as an attachment (?) and with the email message saying:
Hi,
here is a present for you, your very own Certificate recognising that you help people.
You can get more there to send to your friends or family.
They're free!
They then enter the person's email address into the email and send it to them.
Visitors to the certs page must be able to easily get back to the website at any time.
