We have a PHP web application that we are building and we are stuck on a couple of elements which we need to tie up reasonably swiftly.

We are looking for a PHP / MySQL developer to get us over the hump and move us forward the bits we have are relatively simple and are a lead in to extra work which will posted here in due course.

The requirements are..

The system is based around a product record each product can have more than one categories set against it on the Add & Edit form we need the categories to be displayed as a set of check boxes which the user can interact with.

We have 3 main tables involved Products, Categories & ProductCategories in MySQL.

The Product holds the product details and the ID of the product. The Categories table holds the category details inc an ID in the ProductCategories table we hold the ProductID and the CategoryID.

1. Pull through a List of checkboxes items from a table into a form
2. Check another table to see whether the item(s) should be checked (Active)
3. Update the table when a checkbox is changed
4. On submit of form write data to tables

Elelement 1 & 2.

There is a table in our system called categories which has an ID, Title, Column & Active fields these are handled (Added, Edited, Deleted elsewhere in the system) on the product form pull out a list of all categories that are set as active and then check the link table to set the checked status of those categories assign to the product if editing. If a new product just pull through active categories.

Element 3 & 4.

When adding a new product, get the ID generated by MySQL for the product and add this id along with the category id to rows within the link table.

When editing update the product table with the edits and also the link table if checkboxes have been updated.

We have written this in PHP and MySQL and will send you a local copy of the code to work with.

We would expect this to take no more that 3 hours of development but hope it would be less.

We are a web house in the UK who are building custom .NET and other applications for clients, we will be looking for someone to work with in the longer term and therefore we feel that this is an easy job to get to know the process.

This is urgent so please respond if you are interested ASAP.
