Domestic and Sexual violence harms the whole of society and impacts across all sections of our local communities. It damages woman adults aged 16-24 more so than any other group, and it has a significant impact on individual health and wellbeing, which can seriously affect whole life experience. Young woman leaving care in Bradford will be provided with the necessary life skills they need to become independent at a manageable pace. Prevention and support services will be made available, to woman who are ex-offenders or at risk of offending. Strong Foundations will provide ongoing support to enable them to resettle effectively and reduce the likelihood of reoffending. By delivering group support, personalised, and one to one support.
When the single payment universal credit become compulsory, it is likely we will see a surge in homelessness. Mainly due to landlords not continuing with the current tenancies the individuals may have. In additional to the lack of social accommodation available. Strong Foundations will provide temporary relief to these individuals.
We intend to be innovative and creative in seeking to join up other resources. Our work is highly relevant because there is no alternative provision in the locality, nor anyone with our working methods or ethos. We will show how an approach to provide the community with opportunities for vulnerable woman to take control of their lives to become more self-reliant and self-sufficient will not only benefit the service user, but also the community.
Core work of Strong Foundations
To provide refuge and temporarily accommodation to women at risk.
To provide a range of support services and workshops to enable women who are affected by domestic and/or sexual violence to rebuild their lives.
To run preventative educational programmes and workshops. With the aim of minimising offending and re offending. Helping their transition into the community.
To educate and inform the service user of the various platforms available to them within and outside of our organisation, that they can utilise which will help them regain control of their lives.
To help the service user gain employment by running numeracy and literacy classes, in addition to computer skills workshops.
Strong Foundations will provide a socially cohesive environment. It is important that members of the community and the service users share common values which enable them to identify common aims and objectives. Have knowledge and share a common set of principles and codes of behaviour through which to conduct their relations with one another.Strong Foundations ‘Social Inclusion Initiative programme’ will be developed. It will prove pivotal by way of tackling pressing social issues. As we recognise that issues such as poor health, homelessness, crime rates and poverty are all interconnected and do contribute to social exclusion.
Strong Foundations are aware of the safeguarding requirements in regards to our service users. We are obligated to check any potential employees who may work with these vulnerable women. We are required to refer care to these women, while doing so in a safe environment. Not be complacent and do anything considered guilty of causing harm to the service user or of placing them at risk of harm.
The rising number of women with health issues relating to obesity is increasing putting pressure on Bradford NHS. With the latest available figures showing female admissions were 218 percent higher than male ones. Strong Foundations will encourage and guide these women into making the best choices in regards to their individual dietary requirements. It is important conscious decisions are made when it comes to nutrition and well-being.

Awaiting your response.
Claire, that's a lot of info about the organisation, but says nothing about what you need to have on the website and what you want it to do. Any other sites that you feel are similar to the one that you want made?
Do you have any reference for the design you need for the site ?
Please let me know.
