Hi fellow freelancers
My current hosting provider is Writersresidence.com. I bought my domain writerphilippmeier.com from Namecheap. Writersresidence was fine for me when I started out, but the site has some limitations I'm no longer willing to deal with. Therefore, I'm looking for a freelancer who's well-versed with transferring content from an old to a new hosting provider.
Note: Namecheap (where I bought the hosting for the new website) informed me that in my case, the option to access website files was hidden by my hosting provider, so it's not possible to migrate the website content to Namecheap.
No website design is required whatsoever. What I want is just to have a new website that looks the same as the one on Writersresidence.
I can provide you with all the files (photos) as well as Namecheap and Writersresidence passwords so you can log in and work there. I have no clue about this stuff and it would take me too long to figure it out.
Namecheap has a customer support if you need to ask them any questions. If you can't manage Namecheap (but only if you really can't), I'm open to Squarespace (my free trial will end on 24th May), provided the new website looks the same as the one I currently have on Writersresidence. Don't choose anything Wordpress-related, though.
Also, I need the following:
1) people who type http://writerphilippmeier.com or www.writerphilippmeier.com must end up on a site where the URL reads http://writerphilippmeier.com (and not anything else, such as philippmeier.writersresidence.com)
2) I also want a tablet- and mobile-friendly version, not just a laptop version (Namecheap does offer a tablet- and mobile-friendly version. Writersresidence only offers a laptop version).
3) I want to be able to include photos when I post a testimonial.
4) I need to include a photo when adding a piece to the portfolio to make it more visually appealing. Right now, the visitor of my website has to specifically click on the link in order to see the photo of a portfolio piece. I want that all photos of all portfolio pieces are visible in the overview (on the portfolio tab)
5) I may want to sell products so a shopping button would be cool, or a TransferWise button (no Paypal button). Also, I want to offer packages (e.g. 3 articles for X price and X number of words each). Is that possible via widgets?
The price I've suggested is only a placeholder. Tell me what you want, and I'll see if that fits my budget.
Do let me know if you have any questions.
I look forward to your proposal.
Cheers
Philipp
