As a newly started company we are urgently requiring a web presence. The project will require creation of a web site from the ground up, as currently we have no web development experience.
Our company is a direct selling company which uses representatives to sell its products, mainly organic bodycare products as well as healthy vitamins and supplements and sports supplements, then keep commission from these sales. We need a site that can contain their accounts, as well as their sales information. Here is all the information about what we require:
1 - The website must advertise us to potential representatives, explaining the ethics of the company, information about the company and the benefits of becoming a representative for us. This should also contain an enquiry form for potential representatives, contact information to apply for information regarding joining us and a downloadable .pdf file with further information. Because we are home based, we require the website to be the face of the company and portray us in a professional and legitamized manner.
2 - The Representative Account - Once a representative has agreed to join us for a start up fee, one of their benefits will be to have access to their own personalised account on the website. This account will provide the main link between the company "base" and the representative, where they will be able to order brochures, corporate clothing and personalised office supplies that they may need in order to run their own mini business. The account system will be the prominent feature of our business' effectiveness, because it is from here that the representative will place stock orders through short term credit with us, based upon a personal limit, and then have a timeframe of up to 2 weeks to pay the outstanding amount.
It is important that we have an effective automated system wherein the account automatically configures bill totals minus the representive's commission and any bonuses that they are due, which they will simply keep. We will also look to have a bonus structure in place which will be linked to order history totals since joining as a representative. Selling tips, advice and access to communicate with a mentor should be available from the account page.
3 - The range of products that we sell should generally be explained.
Although these are the prioritised objectives of the initial website, we have plans for the very near future and the following are the features we would also like to have as soon as can be afforded:
1 - An e-commerce site that is linked to the home page, selling our brochure products online to a national audience. We also envisage an affiliates program wherein a representative account number can be entered at the order total page, this would then give the representative a commission of the sub total before delivery and this will be taken from any outstanding bill. This affiliates program on our e-commerce site will encourage representatives to advertise the website for their own benefit through business cards, personal recommendations and web links.
2 - We would also like an information site that provides exercise information, nutritional information and diet tips to encourage healthier living. This site will be educational and should be incorporated under our overall brand identity. This page should also provide information about all local health practitioners, such as chiropractors, acupuncturists, masseurs, aromatherapists, chiropodists, local gyms and personal trainers, as well as any information regarding special local deals.
