Video/Reel Creation

I’m looking for a talented editor to create a 75–90 second autobiographical Instagram Reel.

The concept and script are already complete. I will provide the voiceover, personal photographs/video and any archive material I already have.

I need the editor to source the remaining visuals — appropriate stock footage, historical/archive material, newspaper imagery, textures and graphics — and bring everything together into the finished Reel.

The story begins in Scotland in 1993 and moves through some fairly dark life experiences before ultimately becoming a positive story about resilience, family and looking forward.

The style needs to be dark, gritty, cinematic and authentic — almost short-documentary in feel. It will combine:

- Voiceover and music
- Black screens with distressed/typewriter-style text
- Real photographs and personal archive material
- Carefully selected stock footage where necessary
- A short, deliberately homemade-looking “time machine” sequence
- Subtle sound design and motion graphics

I do not want a typical flashy social-media edit, generic motivational-video styling, constant animated captions or unnecessary transitions. Restraint and emotional pacing are important.

I’m looking for somebody who can interpret the script and tell the story visually, rather than requiring me to supply an individual clip for every line.
