Description
Your role will be to
1. edit the podcast
2. write suitable chapter names with timestamps to be put in the description. That is because it is most efficient that while you're going through the video, you can add markers for where the chapters will go later.
The editing style I’m aiming for is similar in philosophy to Diary of a CEO (https://www.youtube.com/@TheDiaryOfACEO).
It doesn’t need to be as high-effort in production, but the retention approach should be the same:
• Strong, fast-paced intro/sneak peek clips to hook the audience
• Use of on-screen text and pulling the most interesting quotes early onCutting gaps, filler words, and breaths for the intro/hook so it feels fast and snappy
For the main podcast body, keep things natural and authentic — gaps and breaths are fine there
I’m looking for someone with a good instinct for storytelling — who knows which clips create intrigue, how to pace the edit for retention, and how to bring out the best moments without over-editing.
Requirements:
• Fluent in English (for accuracy in editing and text overlays)
• Experience editing podcasts or similar long-form content
• Good communication and attention to detail
To apply:
• Which editing program you use
• Please share your past work/portfolio (especially podcasts or interview-style edits)
• Let me know your typical turnaround time
If you’d like to proceed, I’ll send you a short sample project for the sneak peek and chapters with instructions.
(Write "pineapple" in your proposal so I know you read this)

Hey Sarah,
Kindly address some of my concerns regarding the project so that I can deliver something exactly like you are looking for:
– For the chapter titles, do you prefer them to be straightforward and descriptive (e.g., “How to Build Discipline”) or intriguing and curiosity-based (e.g., “Why Success Feels Lonely”)?
– Do you see text overlays being used sparingly for emphasis (like key quotes, stats, names) or more frequently to keep visual engagement high throughout the sneak peeks?
– Do you see this podcast leaning more towards entrepreneurship + business wisdom, or life philosophy & storytelling? (This will help me shape chapter titles and choose which sneak peek moments to highlight.)
– Since you mentioned long-term, would you be interested in me also helping with repurposing clips into Shorts/Reels for extra reach, or do you want to strictly keep it to podcast editing and chapters for now?
Thank You!
