Social Media - Videography & Photography

London Elite Youth is looking for a creative, London-based Social Media & Content Lead to work with us on an ongoing freelance basis.

We’re looking for someone who can help us develop a distinctive and recognisable visual identity across our social media channels — combining videography, photography, editing and social-first content creation.

This isn’t a traditional social media management role.

The biggest part of the role will be being present within our football environment, capturing what happens and turning those moments into high-quality, authentic content.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can:

• Attend selected London Elite Youth training sessions, events and programmes across London
• Capture high-quality video and photography
• Film training, coaching, player development, behind-the-scenes moments and events
• Edit content into engaging Reels, short-form videos and other social-first formats
• Produce high-quality photography for social media and marketing
• Help develop a distinctive and consistent visual style for London Elite Youth
• Understand how to capture authentic moments rather than relying on staged content
• Contribute creative ideas and identify content opportunities
• Help plan and maintain our social media presence
• Adapt content appropriately for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
• Work collaboratively with us on occasional campaigns and additional creative projects

Availability

Our programme operates across a mixture of:

• Weekday daytime sessions
• Weekday evening sessions
• Weekend sessions and events

There could be activity across approximately two weekdays, two evenings and selected weekends, but we are not expecting the freelancer to attend everything.

The schedule will be planned flexibly around the content we need to capture, upcoming programmes and the freelancer’s availability.

We’re more interested in capturing the right sessions and moments than simply having someone attend a fixed number of hours every week.

The Creative Direction

One of our biggest priorities is creating something that feels authentic to London Elite Youth.

We don’t want our social channels to look like generic, templated sports content.

We’re looking for someone who can help establish a bespoke visual and editing style that becomes recognisable as London Elite Youth.

We also want to limit the use of generative AI in the creative process.

AI may be used selectively for workflow or administrative purposes, but photography, videography, storytelling, editing choices and the overall creative direction should remain human-led, original and authentic to our environment.

The Person

You might currently be working as a:

• Content Creator
• Sports Videographer
• Photographer / Videographer
• Social Content Producer
• Digital Content Creator
• Freelance Creative

Previous football experience would be beneficial, but it isn’t essential.

We’re more interested in your eye, your portfolio and your ideas than your job title.

You should:

• Have your own professional or high-quality photography/videography equipment
• Be confident shooting both photo and video
• Have strong editing skills
• Understand short-form social content
• Understand Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
• Be able to work independently
• Be reliable and comfortable travelling to different London venues
• Be proactive rather than waiting to be told what to film
• Have a portfolio that demonstrates your creative style

The Arrangement

We’re looking to establish an ongoing relationship rather than commission one individual video.

Our preference is to begin with a paid trial project, followed by an initial 3-month monthly retainer with the right person.

If the relationship works well, we’d like this to develop into a longer-term creative partnership.

There will also potentially be opportunities to work on additional projects including:

• Player stories
• Camps and events
• Longer-form YouTube content
• Interviews
• Promotional campaigns
• Behind-the-scenes content
• Brand films
• Other London Elite Youth projects
