Short-form video editor, ongoing monthly, for UK salon marketing

WHAT THIS IS

I run a UK marketing service for salons and barbershops. We make short
vertical videos for our clients' social media and Google Business profiles.

This is ongoing monthly work, not a one-off project. I am looking for one
editor to work with for the long term.

THE WORK

20 to 30 second vertical videos, 1080x1920, made from photos and clips I
supply.

36 hour turnaround per video.

RATE

GBP 250 a month, ongoing

WHAT I EXPECT

- If an asset is missing or will not work, you tell me. You never substitute
something that looks close.
- You have opinions about what makes a short video work, and you can explain
them.

THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF

- You find repetition unbearable. This is 30 or more videos a month, most of
them variations on templates you built.
- You go quiet when something goes wrong. A late warning is fine. A silent
missed deadline is not.

WHAT I NEED IN YOUR PROPOSAL

Three things. I read proposals that have all three.

1. Links to two or three vertical short-form videos you made yourself. Not a
company showreel you were part of.

2. What you edit in, and what your power and internet situation is. Be honest.

3. Send me one short-form video you think is EXCELLENT and one you think is
POOR, with two sentences on each saying why. They can be anyone's work,
including your own.

Question 3 is the one I read most carefully. There is no right answer. I want
to know what you notice. Proposals that skip it will not be read, and a generic
template reply tells me nothing about you.

NEXT STEP

Shortlisted candidates get a short paid task: one 20 to 30 second video to a
real brief for a real client. Paid on delivery whatever the outcome, and the
video is yours to keep. Then a 30 minute call where you present it.
