Description
Experience Level: Expert
I’m looking for a skilled video editor to join me long-term in creating high-quality, educational YouTube content.
About the channel:
https://www.youtube.com/@theskinmedic
The content focuses on dermatology, skincare, and education. The style should be clean, professional, and engaging, while remaining easy to follow for a general audience.
Role:
As a video editor, you will be responsible for editing long-form educational videos (10–15 minutes) that combine talking-head content with supporting visuals. You will help translate scripts into polished, engaging videos aligned with a consistent brand style.
Responsibilities:
Edit long-form videos (10–15 minutes) to a high professional standard
Perform colour grading to ensure a clean, natural, and consistent look
Incorporate motion graphics such as titles, callouts, and occasional diagrams
Integrate A-roll and B-roll effectively (all footage provided)
Add smooth transitions and maintain strong pacing throughout
Select appropriate background music
Implement feedback and revisions via Frame.io
Results (What success looks like):
Videos that are clear, engaging, and easy to follow
Consistent visual style and branding across all content
Strong audience retention through good pacing and editing decisions
High-quality output delivered on time
Efficient collaboration with minimal revision cycles over time
Requirements:
Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and educational content
Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency
Good communication and responsiveness to feedback
Ability to work within a structured workflow (Notion for scripts, Frame.io for feedback)
Preferred but not essential:
Experience with Final Cut Pro
Workflow:
Scripts and structure will be provided via Notion
Feedback and revisions will be managed through Frame.io
All footage and assets will be supplied
