Freelance Video Editor – Educational Video Conversion (Remote)

We are the School of Stitched Textiles, an established UK online education provider, and are seeking a reliable freelance video editor to adapt our existing instructional videos for a new creative membership platform.

**The project**

We have approximately 240 finished, professionally edited teaching videos across 12 courses, recorded in 1920 × 1080 HD.

The videos are already edited, with camera angles, close-ups and individual lessons in place. **No filming or editing of raw footage is required.**

We need someone to:

- Remove existing branded intros, outros and redundant tutor introductions.
- Identify and discreetly remove outdated references to the original course structure or delivery arrangements, where practical.
- Undertake basic audio enhancement, including noise reduction and consistent speech levels.
- Add new branded introductions, outros and titles (assets supplied by us).
- Preserve the existing teaching content and camera edits.
- Export high-quality 1080p MP4 files, consistently named and organised.

This is primarily a straightforward editing and repurposing exercise, rather than a creative video production project. Attention to detail and the ability to preserve educational continuity are particularly important.

**Initial paid trial**

We wish to begin with a paid trial involving five representative videos. This will allow us to assess the quality of the editing, audio enhancement and attention to detail.

The new branding assets are currently being developed, so temporary placeholders may be used during the trial.

If successful, there is the opportunity to undertake the remaining conversion work, commissioned in agreed batches.

**What we're looking for**

An experienced, practical freelance editor who:

- Is proficient in professional video editing software.
- Can improve and balance existing audio.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Is comfortable working independently and remotely.
- Can provide examples of previous video editing work.
- Offers competitive rates and has availability to begin shortly.

Experience with educational or instructional videos would be particularly welcome. Knowledge of textile crafts is not required.
