Hi
We're looking for someone to produce a music video for us
If we decide you're the right person than we will send you a link to the song to listen
The lyrics are below
There's 3 flamingos painted on the gasworks wall/all in full colour exquisitely drawn/no one knows who the artist is/some say it's jimmy from bulldog street/is that the same Jimmy who the other week/was stood bollocks naked and screaming abuse. outside hie ex girlfriend's house? /No that's a different Jimmy/ That's A different Jimmy/ Well, is that Jimmy went to that funeral/dressed as a groom, proposed to the widow/lost 5 teeth, got thrown in the river?? /No, that's a different Jimmy. that's a different Jimmy/ ........There's a lot of folk called Jimmy round here, /well depends who you ask, if we know who you are/All went same school, same neighbourhood, all got dirty in a school of Mud/The school of Mud/The School of Mud/The School of Mud......./// we're, Jimmy, Jimmy, Flamingo/ We are Jimmie's Jimmie's Flamingos..
Imagery needs to be gritty... urban...tough council estates... people deprived of dreams... failed ambitions.... living slightly on the edge of society...rogueish
Have a google look at the characters from the film trainspotting.... or Mike Leigh films.... or David Thewlis who plays Johnny in Mike Leighs film 'naked'.... Its this sense of emotion and dereliction we're trying to convey.... a grim fatalism.... the characters are tough... and their activities borderline criminal
For the rock chorus bit i have in my head 5 'Jimmy's' walking down an alleyway singing /speaking the chorus line :we're Jimmy's, Jimmy's flamingos '
Whilst that may not be possible its that kind of sense of feeling /emotion wanting to be conveyed... slight edginess, sense of menace from oddball characters that society has rejected
