Animation CARTOON

We are seeking an animator to produce short educational animation clips that showcase African culture. The initial project involves animating the classic children's song "Wheels on the Bus" but with characters wearing traditional African attire and vocals in an African language such as Swahili. Additional clips could focus on topics such as counting, colors, animals, or other concepts in a culturally authentic way.

This is an opportunity to help fill a need for educational content that authentically represents African communities. The clips would be used to support early childhood learning both within Africa and for children worldwide wanting to learn about African heritage. Feedback will be provided on the first clip with the aim of further developing the style and refining the cultural portrayal. If successful, additional clips may be commissioned to expand the library.

Strong graphic design and animation skills are required to bring the characters and storylines to life in an engaging way for young viewers. Experience producing educational or culturally-focused animations is preferred but uncompensated portfolio work could also be considered. The commission is open to individual animators or small studios. Applicants should detail their relevant experience and creative vision for authentically representing African cultures and traditions through children's educational content.
