Children's Book Photos

I am putting together a children’s book, and I’m looking for someone to shoot a bunch of pictures for a fun section of the book. I had a friend getting the other pictures for the other pages, but he was in an accident and will be out of commission for quite awhile. This leaves me with the most fun part of the book to get pictures for.

I’m self publishing this through Outskirts Press which is an awesome self publishing company to work with out of Colorado in the US.

So the book is titled "Busy Feet" It's about some of the fun things kids can do with their feet from a child's point of view. The pictures are what will make this book fun. With using multiple pictures for every page the child reading the book will be able to see different kids going through the similar action of the text and be able to relate to that.

The text that I need pictures for reads as follows: “When someone takes off my shoes and socks” “And tickles my feet” “I try not to laugh” “But it tickles…..” “That REALLY tickles!”

So for these you would just have fun capturing the moments as they happen.
A parent or sibling playfully taking off the child’s shoes and socks, starting to tickle the feet and seeing the child trying to keep a straight face, the parent continuing to tickle the feet and the child now trying to resist and trying not to laugh. Then when the child can’t stand it…..seeing that fun hysterical giggling as the parent has fun tickling the feet and we see the child literally rolling and giggling. So fun, playful and silly are the theme for these!

You would need to have access to a fun family with 2-3 kids in the 4-9yr old age range, and a fun parent or sibling that would have fun doing the tickling.

I see these shots as being mainly wide shots so we see everything. The whole child, the parent, and the feet being tickled. That way we’ll be able to see the fun progression of the child trying not to laugh and going all the way to the hysterical giggling….plus seeing the feet being tickled.
I think it would be good to get some shots of just the feet being tickled as well, but mainly those full wide shots would be great. You can just click away, and I’d ask that you just have fun and shoot a ton of shots.

Using your creativity and fun ideas for the pictures are exactly what I have in mind. You also won't have to worry about copying a set style or theme, as I would like this section to have its own look and feel, so no worries there.

I would like to see some samples of your work, and also who you would plan on using as models for the pictures.
