Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Not sure
About the Role: We are an IP Development Studio scaling a new, YouTube-first pre-school animation show. We are looking for a specialist designer to turn rough concepts and screenshots into high-performance, platform best practice thumbnails.
What You’ll Do: After receiving rough concepts, examples and video titles, you’ll create 3 thumbnails that sell the video to the intended audience. You will be responsible for the "click." Your job is to take screenshots and character poses and use advanced compositing, digital painting, and AI tools to create vibrant, polished visuals. You need to make characters pop, enhance lighting, and ensure every image tells a clear story at a glance.
The Ideal Candidate
You know the Audience: You understand what compositions, storytelling and visual trends work for pre-school, YouTube audiences.
You are a Technical Creative: You don't just crop images; you are comfortable painting over 3D assets to improve expressions, fix lighting, and seamlessly blend elements.
You are Data-savvy: You welcome receiving Click-Through Rates stats on your previous submissions as it will help guide future thumbnails.
Requirements:
Strong portfolio of YouTube thumbnails for Animation (Kids content highly preferred).
Expert-level Photoshop skills (masking, compositing, color grading).
Ability to work fast and adapt to feedback.
To Apply: Please share your portfolio. Examples showing "Raw Asset vs. Final Thumbnail" are highly encouraged.
