Hello. I would like to convert a 5 second MP4 video (see attached) into a GIF.
The GIF will be used a the background for an oversized banner image at the top of a website. So, the size needs to be approx. 1200px by 800px. It needs to be high-quality and clear, so it looks like a video still.
I have tried to create a GIF on a free platform such as express.adobe.com/tools/convert-to-gif and the quality / size isn't good enough. There is some pixelation when the image size is increased for a full width banner image - which isn't good enough. I need bigger / better than this.

your video frame size is 568x320 we can maximum 1200x676 ,
If we go 1200X 800 edge will get cut are you ok ? -
Hi Rob,
Converting any video to a .gif file will drastically increase the file size and is not recommended. Background videos should be in .mp4 and/or .webm format if you want the website to load fast and be optimised.
Why, exactly, are you wanting to convert it to a .gif file?
