simple edit of 8 photos from word doc

I need a simple editing job which needs eight photos of a number of photos, originally sent to me on a word document to be
converted to jpg images. Some will need slight editing. The intention is that I will use them in a photo book so they need to be of reasonable quality. This needs to be completed by 21 July. I don't expect this to take more than an hour or so of someone with the right experience.
