Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are a high-end building & construction company looking for an experienced architectural/property photo editor or retoucher to professionally enhance a selection of completed project photographs.
The images will be used across our website, social media, marketing materials & an upcoming magazine feature, so the finished files need to be high-resolution, realistic & suitable for print/editorial use.
What we need -
The majority of the photographs are exterior shots of a completed residential project which is being featured. The building itself looks great, but some of the photography was taken before the surrounding landscaping & planting had been completed or had a chance to fully established.
We would therefore like to:
- Add or enhance realistic landscaping & planting
- Improve lawns, borders & unfinished external areas where required
- Remove small distractions, construction remnants or unwanted objects
- Make subtle improvements to lighting, exposure, colour balance & overall presentation
- Retain natural textures, shadows, reflections & imperfections so the photography still feels authentic
- Make it look like a beautiful sunny summers day
- It should look like a high-end grand designs type photograph
- Supply the finished photographs in high resolution, suitable for both print & digital use.
VERY IMPORTANT - the building itself must NOT be changed. We do NOT want the architecture redesigned or altered in any way so it reflects our true work. Existing brickwork, stonework, windows, doors, rooflines, dimensions, proportions & other architectural details must remain true to the original photographs.
The objective is for someone looking at the finished image to believe that this is simply a professionally photographed completed property with established landscaping - not a digitally created or AI-generated image.
We have already mocked up some examples using ChatGPT/AI to demonstrate the type of landscaping & overall finished appearance we are looking for. However, these examples look too obviously AI-generated when viewed closely, particularly in the planting, textures & finer architectural details.
We can provide both:
1. The original high-resolution photograph
2. Our AI mock-up showing the general direction we would like
We would then like you to create a professional, realistic version from the original high-resolution file, using the mock-up only as a visual reference.
Our projects are predominantly high-end homes in Somerset & Devon, so landscaping should feel appropriate to the properties and their surroundings - natural, established & understated country cottage rather than overly manicured or artificial.
Think high-end UK architectural/property photography suitable for publications such as Country Life, House & Garden, Homes & Gardens or similar.
Who we're looking for -
Ideally, you will have experience in:
- Architectural/property photography retouching
- Professional Photoshop compositing
- Realistic landscaping/vegetation additions
- High-end property marketing imagery
- Retouching images for print/editorial use
Please include relevant before-and-after examples of architectural or property photo editing in your proposal.
We would ideally like to start with one test image to make sure the editing style is right before proceeding with the remaining photographs.
There is also potential for ongoing work, as we regularly photograph completed building projects for our website, social media, PR & marketing.
Please price PER IMAGE.
