Modernize old wedding image

My mom and dad got married in 1972 and are having a golden wedding this year. To honor my parents, I want to modernize their old wedding photo.

They are generally very interested in paintings and love art, but they really lack the most important image, namely their own wedding photo.

The starting point is not the very best. I have the wedding photo as a scanned photo. The image is not of very good quality, but with a little creativity and skills, I think it should be possible to adjust the image so that it maintains a reasonably 2022 quality. See attached image, which is the starting point.

Assignment specification:
1. General image processing, to make the image in the best quality possible.
2. Colorize the image.
3. Image must be at least A4 / A3 format, 4-color CMYK, high resolution, for print.
4. Delivery latest 1. of April 2022.

The scoop has great creative freedom, and I am open to all kinds of suggestions and styles. Creative solutions that may surprise and make the image fun or exciting are clearly something that counts. If you would rather create a digital painting / illustration and use the wedding picture as a model, it is also ok.
The end result will be a gift for the golden bride and groom, where I print out the finished image and frame it. As a bonus, I promise to credit the artist in great words in my speech to the golden wedding couple :).

Info about colors:
• Bride: 20 years, green / brown eyes, reddish brown hair
• Groom: 23 years, blue eyes, dark brown hair
• Flower bouquet: The bridal bouquet contains the colors yellow, red, orange, green, blue and white. These include anemone and lily of the valley flowers.
• Other colors are up to the artist to decide.
