The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled freelance retoucher to join our team on a long-term basis, with regular weekly work. This is a remote position, but you must be hardworking, reliable, and able to meet weekly image quotas while maintaining exceptional quality.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in the fashion industry and be proficient in product retouching, mannequin retouching, flat lay editing, and expert-level model skin retouching. This is a fast-paced role, so strong attention to detail and efficiency are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Retouch high volumes of fashion product images, ensuring they meet brand and e-commerce standards.
Perform expert model skin retouching while maintaining natural textures and high-end finishes.
Complete weekly image quotas, including:
Up to 75 mannequin images per day
150 model images per day (depending on workload)
Execute colour correction, shadow adjustments, and background clean-up for polished final images.
Collaborate with photographers and creative teams to ensure consistency in style.
Stay updated with industry trends and retouching techniques to enhance quality.
Requirements
At least five years of professional retouching experience in the fashion industry.
Advanced Photoshop skills (high proficiency with layer masks, frequency separation, colour correction, etc.).
Strong portfolio showcasing mannequin retouching, product retouching, flat lays, and expert skin retouching.
Good understanding of English for communication – full fluency is not required.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle high workloads efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across large volumes of images.
Preferred Skills
Experience with e-commerce brands and knowledge of their retouching standards.
Familiarity with Lightroom, Capture One, and other Adobe Creative Suite software.
Understanding of fashion photography aesthetics and current industry trends.
Knowledge of file management and workflow best practices for high-volume editing.
