Edit with new product image

I have a stock photo that needs a new product added to it. We sell felling wedges. I have included a picture of our Hardhead felling wedge. It is made of hard plastic and has a red steal-plated head. I need the edge in the photo to look like the new wedge. Can this be done? It needs to be realistic. It cannot look like a photo-edited version. I suggest coloring the old orange wedge yellow and then coloring a red head on it.
