I’m looking for a freelance editor to help me with a long-term editing project, I came across your work and am very interested in working with you. This is a project for personal research and study purposes, where the goal is to analyse sitcoms such as Modern Family, Friends, The Office and many more. The goal of the project is to break down each 20–24-minute episode of the show into 3 edits, based on plot. Each narrative episode of a sitcom is usually broken down into 3 plots, one plot would be a main plot that the entire episode revolves around, the second plot would be a step down from that where it is not as prevalent throughout the episode but still important, and finally the last and shortest plot which would be a sub plot. Each episode needs to be broken down into these 3 types of plots, which I would like to be called Plot A, B, and C which you will need to identify. Usually in a 24-minute episode, Plot A would be a 10–12-minute cut, Plot B would be an 8-10 minute cut and finally plot C would be a 2-3 minute plot. The budget for this project is $15 per episode (3 edits of the same episode). I have personally done a few edits myself and would be happy to share them with you including the original source file for your reference. Each episode usually took me around 45 minutes each to complete, including watching the episode but the reason I am looking to outsource to increase my output of episodes per day. I will also share all the episodes that need to be edited with you. Furthermore, in terms of the amount of work you can choose to take on there is a lot, I a planning to do this for multiple sitcoms for all the seasons. For example, Modern family has a total of 11 seasons with 24 episodes each, totalling to 264 episodes and that is just one of the shows. $360 per season, $3960 per show
