Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
I want to make a documentary telling the story of a season of motor racing for one driver.
I have done a lot of (but not all) the preparation, which you can find attached.
This is a fairly big job because it will require the Editor to watch all of the footage (listed attached) and really *understand* the story in order to then tell it with the limited footage we have available.
I would like to build the documentary in 2 steps (please tell me if this is a bad way of doing it as I am not a film maker):
Step 1-
Assemble the sequence of the footage (excluding piece to camera sections);
Step 2-
We will record and you will add the piece to camera with the driver and the voiceover, both of which have not been recorded yet and will depend on the footage.
I can either pay in 2 tranches (to be agreed) for each step, or we can have an ongoing dialogue until the film is finished and pay on completion -- open to discussing the best way.
What I am looking for is someone who is a talented film maker and is INTERESTED in the subject matter and making a great film to tell the story. Someone who takes a lot of pride in what they produce and will be proud to be credited at the end of the documentary.
I'm not looking for someone who will do the bare minimum and throw something together as quickly and easily as they can get away with.
Please reply with a short message about why this job is a good fit for you, and an estimate on turnaround time for Step 1 (having reviewed the document attached) and any links to relevant previous work you have done.
All the best,
Adam
