Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Long-Term YouTube Video Editor | $40/10 minute video, $5 per additional minute
I am looking for a detail-oriented video editor to help me edit sit-down YouTube videos for my channel, April’s Rambles(https://www.youtube.com/@aprilsrambles). This role is perfect for someone who enjoys watching YouTube video and comfortable in English communication.
I am looking to have ~2 videos per month, with each video around **10 minutes** long. For each video, I will provide:
- Raw footage (separate video and audio files).
- A complete annotated “paper cut” with A Roll transcript, instructions for B Rolls, transitions, texts, and other effects.
- Access to **CapCut Premium** and **Epidemic Sound** for workflow efficiency if needed.
Your responsibilities:
Follow the provided paper cut and bring the video to life through:
- Clean editing (cuts, pacing, transitions).
- Basic text overlays and animations.
- Light zooms, color grading, and SFX where appropriate.
While the structure is provided, I encourage your creative judgment for zooms, transitions, and other polish touches that enhance storytelling.
Budget:
- $40 for a 10-minute finished video, plus $5 for each additional finished minute (e.g., $45 for 11 min, $50 for 12 min, etc.).
- Pay may increase based on performance and quality.
To apply:
To start, I’d like to see a link to your portfolio or resume. If you don’t have one, you could also choose to reply to these 4 questions:
1. Do you watch YouTube? What are some of your favorite YouTube channels?
2. Have you edited for others before? Any links to their portfolio?
3. What editing software / file storage tools do you use?
4. Are you comfortable with English conversation?
Then, to assess the compatibility, I have also compiled a project (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1P40-Po5B0oZH7gA63ODSUVu5k_zAc-DC?usp=sharing) and would love to see a 1-minute sample from you! The instructions should be pretty straightforward but let me know if you need any questions.
