Description
Experience Level: Entry
We are looking for an experienced videographer, filmmaker or AI video creator to produce a powerful 60-second social-awareness video highlighting the racism and discrimination experienced by migrant home-care workers in Ireland.
The video should show how an act of racism does not only affect the care worker. It can also prevent them from reaching an older or vulnerable person who is relying on their care.
Campaign concept
The main character is a female migrant home-care worker travelling by bicycle to visit an elderly client. During her journey, she experiences a racist incident in which a young man steals or damages her bicycle and verbally abuses her.
The video then cuts between the distressed care worker and the elderly client waiting at home. The client has prepared two mugs at the kitchen table and repeatedly checks the clock and looks towards the front door.
The final message should communicate that when a care worker is targeted, somebody else is left waiting.
Suggested structure
The care worker gets ready for work, clips on her ID badge and unlocks her bicycle.
She cycles through an ordinary Irish suburb on a damp, overcast morning.
An elderly client waits at home with two mugs, a newspaper and a medication organiser.
The care worker is subjected to a racist incident and is unable to continue her journey.
Time passes as the elderly client continues waiting and becomes concerned.
The video ends with a strong but sensitive campaign message.
Style and tone
Cinematic and photorealistic
Set clearly in contemporary Ireland
Natural, understated performances
Emotional without feeling exaggerated or staged
Respectful portrayal of both the care worker and the client
Muted colours and realistic Irish locations
Suitable for a professional healthcare awareness campaign
Deliverables
One completed video of approximately 60 seconds
Vertical 9:16 format for Instagram Reels, Facebook and TikTok
Full HD resolution
Appropriate licensed background music and sound design
Professional editing and colour grading
Space for campaign text, subtitles and organisational branding
Final video supplied with and without burned-in text
All footage, music and assets must be fully licensed for commercial social media use
Up to two rounds of reasonable revisions
We are open to either live-action production or high-quality AI-assisted production, provided the characters remain visually consistent and the final video looks realistic and professional.
When applying, please include:
Examples of relevant cinematic, charity or awareness videos
Details of how you would produce the video
Your estimated turnaround time
Your full price, including revisions and commercial usage rights
Confirmation that you can maintain character and location consistency throughout
The finished video must approach racism sensitively and avoid graphic violence, stereotypes or exaggerated performances.
