Position Title: Video, Filming and Editing Executive
Working with: Press Officer/Marketing and Development Officer/Photographer
Responsible To: Managing Director
Based in either Sheffield, Leeds or Southampton.
Company Overview:
Future Music Management runs highly successful music competitions and events across the country for unsigned artists and acts. With over 10,000 acts auditioning for the last 3 consecutive years, our music competitions are nationally recognised and credited for their commitment to searching for original artists and performers to sign.
Purpose of Job:
The main purpose of this role is to capture all company event footage and to create creative, eye catching videos to assist in the promotion of the company. Duties include;
- Filming bands and acts at all company live events
- Editing footage for appropriate company PR use
- Uploading content to online platforms including MUZU, You Tube
- Creating band and act promos
- Interviewing and filming judges in the competition
- Editing filmed footage and providing to individual acts if requested
- Editing footage for company promotional material
- Ensuring all lighting and sound in each venue is to the correct standard
- Developing and working with online TV platforms to supply and distribute content
- Using editing software i.e Adobe on a regular basis
- Creating viral video’s
- Creating music video’s
Other Duties:
- To assist in developing and creating presentational material for promotional meetings/events, including verbal, written and technical presentations
- To deal with all general public enquiries on the phone and over email
- To assist in developing, maintaining and building upon the press/media contacts database
- To undertake any other administrations tasks required; answering the phone, taking messages, research, online marketing tasks, minute taking at meetings
- Raise profile of the competition
Essential Requirements:
- Experience of filming live events
- Production experience including lighting, sound, editing
- Experience of working with multi camera shoots, multi channel audio production and mixing
- Knowledge of editing software
- Savvy, passionate and assertive; you must be a persuasive promoter with a passion for music and the company
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Confident and influential; you must be confident at speaking to a range of people, whether the general public, promoters, artists, press or high level executives
- Entrepreneurial thinker; a lateral worker who is able to identify new ways of improving the company and suggest new directions/partnerships
- Efficient and organised, with the ability to prioritise and multi task
Desired Skills:
- Experience in music marketing/promotions/press/events management
- Good level of ICT including experience with Word, Excel, MS Office, databases and PowerPoint
- Administrative experience
- A familiarity with online and digital music
- An interest in original unsigned artists
- Calm under pressure; a willingness to take direction, learn new skills and confidently deal with a range of given tasks
