Your photos look perfect for the following job and we would love to work with you!
We are looking for a photographer to take photos for marketing and celebratory purposes of the graduation ceremony of a training programme for young people to become nursing assistants across hospitals in Manchester. The 4 week training programme is for disadvantaged young people who have faced barriers to employment to get all the skills they need to secure employment at Manchester Foundation Trust.
When? 7th May 4-6pm
Where? Manchester Foundation Trust Oxford Road Campus
The training programme has been designed by Generation (www.generation.org - the organisation I work for) and launched in early April. Generation is a global not-for-profit that works with employers to identify their entry level vacancies and recruits young people for training programmes guaranteeing them an interview at the end. The young people recruited onto these programmes are not in employment, education or training, are aged 18-29 and they face and have faced one or multiple barriers to employment (e.g. lack of academic qualifications, personal/familial challenges, special educational needs, caring responsibility at home).
We are looking for someone who can help us capture the human story of our wonderful participants, and help us communicate this to funders and employers as well as provide the participants with mementos of their experience.
In detail we require a photographer for two hours to take the following photos during the ceremony and mingling before and afterwards
• Views of students/families/other audience members from back of room and from front/side
• Speakers on stage
• Students receiving certificates
• Student portraits—at least one torso shot and one closer in face shot each with optimism/smiles/positive expressions if time and desired
• Students in natural groups
• Full class shot
• Looking up at grads at podium
• Emotional moments: Optimism, excitement, tears, hugs, group cheer, etc.
• Behind a student as they walk towards the stage
• Single or small group in the empty hall after graduation: reflective & quiet, celebratory/fists pumping
• Outside shots if it’s a nice day
• Shots of the space
• Shot of the diploma/certificate/etc.
• Other atmospheric shots
Please note: some students have requested not to be photographed at all. We will exclude these students from all photos (including group photos) and ask them to wear a sticker for the day so that they are easily distinguishable.
A style guide we have used for similar programmes and some example photos from a recent photoshoot for a different programme are attached.
