Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I need a photographer to make portfolios projects.
each one has the instructions to follow and the steps to do.
FIRST WORK
1. Telling a Story
The eye must see before it believes.
Things to remember:
-Your images must tell a story
-You should have an idea of what will happen but be prepared to capture whatever happens
-Take your time. It may take a long time and lots of similar photos to capture "a moment"
-You are free to use your own style but do not rely on post-production (Photoshop)
-You must seek out permission to take photos

Assignment:
You will need to create a photo-series that tells the story of something, someone(s) or some place.
***You must come tell Mrs. Roberts your idea for your project***
To be handed in:
at least 5 strong images
a short write up that includes
what your subject is
why you chose it
how each photo fits into your story
you will need to create a magazine cover using one of your chosen photos
2. A portrait is a photograph of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person. For this reason, in photography a portrait is generally not a snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position. A portrait often shows a person looking directly at the photographer, in order to most successfully engage the subject with the viewer.
For this portfolio you will need to hand in:
at least 3 portraits taken in a studio
one photo should be taken using coloured gels (this can be the same photo you used for technical assignment)
at least 3 natural light photos
3.For this portfolio you get to decide what you photograph.
You will need 6 - 8 photographs that fit together in a theme, along with an artist statement explaining your theme. You should put your photos together in a PowerPoint and submit it.
Please think through your theme and don't rush it.
40 marks for the photos
10 marks for the artist statement
4.
Professional photographers don't put every photo that they take on their online portfolio, instead they pick and choose their best photos or the ones that best represent them as an artist.
For your final portfolio, you will create an online portfolio (www.wix.com (Links to an external site.)Enlaces a un sitio externo.) that must include the following images:
at least 2 photos from each portfolio we have done (8 portfolios x 2 = 16 images from previous photos)
Elements of Composition
OTHER PORTAFOLIO.
at least 5 other images that you have taken this semester
you may also include no more than 3 other photos that you have taken outside this class (eg. trip to NYC)
Minimum of 20 photos
All of your photos must be edited (colour correction, etc) to look as professional as possible - NO snapshots!
You must also include an "About Me" section that talks about you as a photographer.
When you have perfected your website submit the link.
