Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Overview
• I am putting together a wedding album and am looking for a Photoshop wiz who can help me bring what I’ve done on a DIY basis up to a more professional-looking final product to send to the printer.
Scope
• The album has 43 “spreads”, i.e. 85 single pages, most of which have already been set in photoshop as .psd files following the guidelines of the album printer I will be using, Finao (e.g. including the recommended safety margin), although 4 of these spreads will need to be created as new .psd files.
• The album contains roughly 190 images. 8 of these were taken by amateur photographers (i.e., guests) and will need substantial editing. Of the remaining images taken by a professional photographer, approximately 75-80% have received an initial round of editing by the photographer, and already look very good, although may need minor touch-ups to bring up to print quality or some adjustments to harmonize with other slides on a spread. The remaining 20-25% were taken by a professional photographer, but have not been edited at all yet. I have uploaded a sample image from each category.
Specific Requirements
• Spacing/layout adjustments: while most of the spreads have been set-up as .psd files with jpegs embedded, sized and cropped, there are lots of small adjustments that I would like made. (I will provide examples created in powerpoint of exactly what changes these are.)
• Layout of 4 new spreads as separate .psd files; I will provide the jpegs to embed and illustrations of how the photos should be laid out in pdf format, as well as the printers’ guidelines. (Finao has templates to assist with this which I can provide.)
• Image correction: ensuring consistency of colour across photographs on the same spread; increasing/decreasing saturation/brightness/contrast, etc., etc. as appropriate throughout to make good photographs look GREAT (this is where your skill/judgment come in)
• Re-touching: The vast majority of these images were taken by a professional photographer and will need more minor re-touching, although there are a handful of amateur photographs that need more dramatic work
Proposals/Process
• Please provide an indicative proposal based on the above description, and include some examples of your work. Please send me a message if you required any further information.
• I will provide the chosen seller with an annotated pdf of the album including specific editing instructions.
