Description
Experience Level: Expert
I am looking for a reliable laptop with close to 100% RGB coverage which is fast and I can use it for editing photos on it. Also for everyday applications like watching videos, web browsing, etc.
SSD is a must, also 8GB RAM or more.
Excellent battery life is also a must.
No coil whine
No heating issues
No noisy cooling fans
Long warranty
No maintenance issues like soldered RAM (as I understand it is a problem)
Single or Dual channel RAM?
BIOS?
Price: up to about £1000

Wouldn't a professional computer outlet give you a better answer than a bunch of random strangers with their own prejudices? Personally, as a Getty Images contributor, I would never edit on a laptop as the screens are never accurate enough - but then again a serious monitor would wipe out your budget on its own, so it depends on how accurate you want to be!
Viktor G.25 Feb 2019Fair point, thanks a lot for sharing. I am not a professional...
