Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
I'm making scenery for flight simulation (Condor 2); and it requires images containing satellite pictures to be marked out into separate layers.
- The basic would be creating a 'tree' layer (green) but could be enhanced by creating two tree layers to represent different tree types (deciduous and coniferous). This includes trees that line roads/fields etc, not just forests.
- Trees within dense urban areas can be ignored, unless they are significant areas of forest.
- Areas of water (rivers, lakes and other visible standing water) need to have a layer where they are highlighted in black.
- The source files should be returned, but may also need to be saved out as flat .bmp files (trees on a black background, water on a transparent background).
A tile is 8192x8192 and seems to represent about 22km across/down. Please quote for one single tile, although there are potentially over 100 to do if the price/quality is good, just for one landscape.
(Note: this is a non-commercial project so I cannot afford huge amounts!)
