Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We have a number of voiceover projects coming up. Let me give you a little background so you can understand us, our organization and the work we need.
A number of years ago my wife and I retired as television news anchors. We established a fundraising foundation that raises needed money for nonprofit hospitals, hospices, animal shelters, endangered youth organizations, food banks, and other organizations such as those which are vitally needed by the people and the communities they serve. The problem is, no nonprofit ever has enough funding to do everything they want to do.
We solve that problem for a lot of nonprofits. We are a 501(c)(3), federally recognized nonprofit foundation ourselves but we do not try to rescue abandoned animals, provide medical care for sick kids, provide food for people going to bed hungry, or dozens of the other vitally needed things other nonprofits accomplish everyday. We do not know how to do those technical skills, but we do know how to raise money for those nonprofits so they can perform the miracles they do. Since our inception we have donated more than $32 million to nonprofits around the country. And we know from experience they put those funds to very good use.
Our primary fundraising tool is providing incredible "wow" trips at deeply discounted prices so the nonprofit organizations can sell them at their annual galas, dinners, etc.
We were very much impressed by your demo audio on the website. We have one immediate project. That is recording the audio that callers will hear on the voicemail when they call our in-house travel agency. That is probably a total of 2 to 3 min. of audio. The second project involves approximately 12 to 14 min. of audio to go with a series of instructional "whiteboards" we use to teach those deserving nonprofit organizations how to make the most out of their upcoming fundraising event.
The final audio project, which we hope to accomplish sometime in November would be to provide audio voiceover descriptions of our trips while the video of the destinations are running. In these would then be projected on large screens at the fundraising events. They would be 20 to 30 separate audio sets, each one generally running 75 to 90 seconds. We would like to consider you for all these projects. We’re looking for a Morgan Freeman or Donald Sutherland voice.
The only problem is that since you are undoubtably not in the Orlando, Florida area, it would be very hard to "sit with you" to ensure we get the right phrasing, timing, tonality, emphasis, etc. When we worked with a woman who narrated the videotape at our website, (amfund.org,) she was recording at her studio in Denver while we were listening to it on our computer here. Once we had the take we wanted, she then e-mailed us the audio file so we had it here in great quality. It was as if we were in the studio with her. We paid her $500 for the project and we were very happy with the results.
At this point, we need is a way to communicate with you so we can talk about these projects and then get them done. Please let me know some way we can communicate with you on a regular and reliable basis so we can work on these projects.
All the best,
Wade West
